Community Care Groups

Community Care Groups (CCGs)...

...run once a week and usually on a Wednesday evening.
The family that you have now become part of, is the Church of God.
The Church is not a building, but a community of people that congregate in buildings and homes.
One of the functions of the Church is to gather in small groups called Cells.

...are small groups or communities of people,
who are committed to Jesus, the Great Commission and each other.
These CCGs or communities gather weekly as the church
and connect with people who don't know Jesus throughout the week
at work, socially, at school, etc.

Just like having an extended family
CCGs provide acceptance, relationship, support, accountability and discipleship.

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes,
they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people.
And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Acts 2:46-47

The early church existed in groups...

...and so do we!

The scriptures are shared on a weekly basis in our celebrations,
after which the groups meet during the week, to discuss how they can be practically applied in their lives.

CCGs | Community is for building up...

As followers of Jesus we are called to build each other up,
so that each one of us matures and becomes more Christ like.

God's design for us, the church, is that we are all members together
of the body of Christ, and NOT alone!

When we live like this,
a unified community who are always looking out for the interests of others,
we help each other to overcome the circumstances of our lives and mature to help others.

You are very important in this process because you have a specific function to fulfill in the body.
God wants to use you in the building up of others in His body.

You need to be part of a CCG group so that you can do your part in the Body
and thereby find and fulfil your purpose and destiny in God's Kingdom.

Be committed...

The group will challenge and encourage your level of growth and commitment.
In the CCG you will discover your ministry and gifting. Your participation will help build up the rest of the group.
Make a decision not to allow anyone or anything to hinder you from attending your CCG.

Contribute...

The Holy Spirit will give you spiritual gifts to help you minister to the rest of the group...

To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit
the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,
to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits,
to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body,
though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:7-12

You can also help the people within the group by doing practical things for them
and using your talents or abilities to help them.

Valuable relationships...

The strong bonds that are formed in the CCG groups form a powerful team during times of crises and sickness.
You need these personal relationships and in time you will see how valuable they are.

Reaching out, sharing Christ...

Evangelism in Cell Groups is reaching out and touching those in your family, work mates and friends.
This can occur by simply inviting them to the CC Group, or by getting the CC Group to visit your unsaved contacts.
Group will help you pray for your unsaved contacts and together you will see them get saved.
